I have contacted a few vetrinarians as well as the local animal shelters. You will want to call ahead of time to find a vet in your area that is capable of performing this procedure. Some vets do not work on specialty animals such as a rabbit. They are strictly cats and dogs..
The vets I spoke to recommended the rabbit be at very minimum 4 months of age, but 6 months or older is the ideal age for spay/neutering. Willow Creeks vet said they don't recommend spaying the female unless you have alot of rabbits because it is dangerous. They recommend just neutering the buck. The surgery is apparently easier to do.
